Contracts to Watch – August 2017

Written on: August 8th, 2017 in Contracting

Two questions we are most frequently asked by businesses are:

When does the State decide whether to rebid or extend a contract?

What contracts should we be watching right now?

The answers are much the same:

The research and analysis that goes into deciding whether to rebid or extend can begin as early as nine months prior to expiration of the current contract term.

A business should be watching contracts within nine months of expiration for potential business opportunities.

The first in a series of new opportunities: August 29, 2017 from 9:30 a.m., to 12:00 p.m.

To help educate businesses in deciding which contracts to be monitoring – and when – Government Support Services will host informal monthly meetings to facilitate the gathering and sharing of information related to contracts for which a decision point has been reached.  The first meeting will be on August 29, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Parties interested in sharing information on either the efficiencies of the existing contract or trends in related market sectors are invited to attend.

The meeting will take place at Government Support Services, Enterprise Business Park, 100 Enterprise Place, Suite 4, Dover, DE 19904.
